Face-to-Face Fundraising Programme – Omniraise
1. Why does WWF use an agency for face-to-face fundraising?
WWF-Malaysia uses a combination of in-house fundraisers and fundraising agencies to maximise our outreach and engage more supporters across multiple locations. Building and maintaining a nationwide team entirely in-house would require significant investment in recruitment, training, and management, so partnering with agencies allows us to grow our fundraising efforts effectively while keeping costs manageable — ensuring more of your donation goes directly towards our conservation programmes, rather than internal overheads. This combined approach supports our long-term conservation mission by helping us reach and engage more Malaysians in the fight to protect our natural heritage.
2.Why doesn’t WWF use volunteers?
Face-to-face fundraising is a regular, professional job that requires long-term commitment, hard work and specific skills. All WWF representatives undergo intensive training by WWF and Omniraise before they begin work. While we sincerely acknowledge our volunteers for playing a valuable role in certain fundraising activities, their commitments outside WWF is beyond our control thus making them not ideal for this particular type of programme.
3.Does Omniraise get a commission from my donation?
No. The agency does not earn any commission or percentage from your donation. They are paid a fixed fee by WWF-Malaysia, separate from donor contributions.
