Dear PAM Members,
PAM is sharing this WWF-Malaysia fundraising initiative with members who may be interested in contributing to conservation efforts and creating a positive impact for nature and wildlife in Malaysia.
WWF-Malaysia is pleased to share an opportunity for individuals who are passionate about protecting Malaysia’s natural heritage to support its conservation efforts.
Today, fewer than 150 Malayan Tigers remain in the wild, making them one of the world's most endangered tiger subspecies. Threats such as poaching, habitat loss, and human encroachment continue to put their survival at risk.
The survival of the Malayan Tiger is closely linked to the health of our forests. By helping to protect tigers and their habitats, we also help preserve vital ecosystems that support biodiversity, regulate our climate, and sustain life for future generations.
— Glenn Murcutt

Poaching & Snares: Illegal hunting and deadly wire snares remain the most immediate threat to their survival. |
Habitat Loss: Shrinking forests and road development fragment their home, leaving them nowhere to roam. |
Empty Forests: Overhunting of prey like deer leaves tigers with nothing to eat, forcing them into dangerous human-tiger conflicts. |

At WWF-Malaysia, we take a holistic, long-term approach to tiger conservation — working to ensure that wild tiger populations, and the forests they depend on, can recover and thrive. Through initiatives such as Project Stampede, we strengthen on-the-ground protection by supporting rangers and intensifying anti-poaching efforts in key tiger landscapes. We also partner closely with Indigenous communities like the Jahai, recognising their deep connection to the forest and their vital role in safeguarding these ecosystems.
At the same time, we focus on restoring and reconnecting forest habitats, rebuilding prey populations, and tackling illegal wildlife trade in collaboration with government and local partners. Together, these efforts not only protect tigers, but also protect our forests — ensuring they continue to sustain biodiversity, regulate our climate, and support future generations.

To show our appreciation for your support, the top 15 contributors* to this campaign will be invited on an exclusive WWF-Malaysia donor trip to our conservation sites.
