The Nature Means Business: Lessons from the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Pilot in Malaysia report by WWF-Malaysia presents a pilot study across selected Malaysian organisations demonstrating how the TNFD LEAP (Locate, Evaluate, Assess and Prepare) approach can be applied to assess nature-related dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities. It highlights that nature-related risks are highly location-specific, with key dependencies on ecosystem services and material impacts driven by land-use change and resource pressures, while physical risks such as flooding and water quality degradation, alongside emerging transition risks, are key concerns. The report positions screening and geospatial tools as useful starting points, while emphasising the need for iterative refinement, improved data, and phased TNFD adoption to support integration of nature considerations into strategy and risk management.
