The WWF-Malaysia family extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dato’ Zarir J Cama, its beloved Board of Trustees member and Deputy Chairman and CEO of HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad, for his dedicated and relentless support towards conservation work and the Malaysian community.

As a member of WWF-Malaysia’s Board of Trustees since 2004, he has continuously championed the organisation’s mission, be it among his family and friends, HSBC colleagues, or corporate circle. As a Trustee, he has provided valuable insights, advice, and guidance to WWF-Malaysia’s Board, Senior Management Team, and staff, facilitated key contacts for fundraising, and helped elevate the organisation’s public image.

A committed environmental conservationist, Dato’ Cama has demonstrated HSBC Malaysia’s passion and dedication in conserving Malaysia’s natural heritage by supporting WWF projects that involve mobilising local communities, which include:

• ‘Engaging People in Sustainability’ Project at Fraser’s Hill
• ‘Living Together In Harmony’ Tiger Project in Jeli, Kelantan
• Kota Kinabalu Wetland Centre’s ‘Invest in the Young and the Future’ Project

Dato’ Cama will be returning to London to serve at the HSBC Headquarters in June 2007. He will be dearly missed at WWF-Malaysia, its network, and the local community. We are confident that he will surge on with even more dynamic environmental pursuits in the future.
