Kem Terendak names their adopted turtle

Kem Terendak has adopted the hawksbill turtle, which nested on the beach adjacent to the military camp on 11 August 2007. The turtle was tagged with a satellite transmitter to study her migratory movements.

Second turtle fitted, named and transmitting

On the 29th of August, satellite transmitter no. 2 was deployed on the turtle bearing the tag numbers MY4488/MY4489. She has since been named Puteri Pulau Upeh by YB Datuk Haji Md. Yunos bin Husin, the Melaka State Chairman of Rural and Agriculture Development Committee
