Sabah Wildlife Department is the state authority that develops policy and implements legislation on wildlife with which WWF-Malaysia has had regular and strong liaison since 1988.
Sabah Foundation (SF) manages most of the important forest areas for wildlife in Sabah. SF will be able to support the programme by providing access, facilities and logistics.
Sabah Forestry Department’s Forest Research Centre works with WWF-Malaysia to gather field information and develop protocols relating to forest restoration for timber production and wildlife habitat improvement.
SOS Rhino works on the protection and expansion of rhinos in the wild by supporting rhino protection and survey teams and involving local stakeholders in conservation efforts.
HONDA Malaysia has come forward to fund our rhino work in view of the critical condition of the species.
