Conserving Nesting Site
Turtle Islands Park is situated off Sandakan and consists of three islands - Selingan, Bakkungan and Gulisaan. These islands have served as nesting grounds for the endangered Green turtle (Chelonia mydas) and critically endangered Hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) for decades.
