Partners

The partners listed above would assist Malaysia Forest and Trade Network (MFTN) in various areas of work.  Government agencies are important partners to ensure acceptance of certification by all parties.  Trade associations have an important role to convince their members of the value of MFTN to their business, and the NGO community can assist in evaluation work, technical expertise, and support of MFTN.  

MFTN encourages the forest and the trade operators to become our members.   Downstream processors are the trade participants who can commit to responsible purchasing of their timber which further encourages foresters to implement a good management system in their concessions.

Funders

The project is funded by two small grants from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Directorate General for International Cooperation (DGIS), managed from Indonesia and the European Commission (EC).
