Funders
Currently, WWF-Malaysia’s work in Ulu Muda is being carried out through the “Strengthening of Protected Areas in Peninsular Malaysia” project. This project is kept going through the generous public funds from thousands of Malaysians who donate a fixed amount of their income under the Direct Debit Donor Programme.
This project allows WWF-Malaysia to attend meetings with the Kedah State government, organise periodic visits to Ulu Muda and carry out small-scale field assessments. We need more funds to run a dedicated project in Ulu Muda and provide a broader range of support to the State government. Only then will Ulu Muda’s potential as a state park and prime nature tourism site become reality.
