WWF-Malaysia has completed the Draft Preliminary Management Plan for the park and while awaiting its presentation and endorsement by the State Parks Technical Committee, has progressed to Phase II which
is aimed at developing a capacity buiding programme for guides and locals in the Dabong and Jelawang area.
Training programmes conducted since June include compass and map reading, kayaking, basic entrepreneurship, rescue and high-rope techniques and a study visit to the rafflesia conservation area in Ulu Geroh, Perak.
