Royal Forest
In the northernmost corner of Perak, 117,500 ha were declared as the Royal Belum State Park by Duli Yang Maha Mulia (DYMM) Sultan Azlan Shah, Sultan of Perak on 31 July 2003. This park is managed by the Perak State Parks Corporation.

Little-known Gem
An area of outstanding natural beauty in South Kelantan, the proposed Gunung Stong State Park is dominated by the spectacular Jelawang Waterfall, one the tallest waterfalls in Malaysia. The area is listed as a priority site for gazettement and development as a state or national park in the National Ecotourism Plan.
