This photography contest is an initiative by WWF-Malaysia, partnering with Tourism Pahang and Nikon Malaysia. The ‘Eyes on Fraser’s Hill’ Photography Contest is aimed at increasing public awareness and understanding of the ecosystem services provided by Fraser’s Hill and why it is important to protect the area.
The contest starts on 12th January 2017 and ends on 12th February 2017. All you need to do is take beautiful and creative photos that are related to ecosystem services (eg. flora, fauna, landscape, people etc.) in Fraser’s Hill. It is important that all entries for the ‘Eyes on Fraser’s Hill’ photography contest only feature photos that are taken in Fraser’s Hill within the contest period, without altering the natural state of the environment and its wildlife.
Next step would be to submit your best photo in high-res format together with an interesting caption, where you have to relate it to any one of the ecosystem services and why it is important, within 30 words. All entries must be accompanied with photographer’s full name, identity card number, contact number, email address, date and location of the photo taken. Email your entries to firstname.lastname@example.org by the deadline.
Aside from that, if you share your photo(s) on FB or Instagram and use hashtag #wwfmy #tourismpahang #nikonmalaysia #eyesonfrasershill, you will receive bonus marks!
The results will be announced via e-mail and through WWF-Malaysia’s Facebook & Instagram account on the 20th February 2017. Prizes will be given out to the winners during the Fraser’s Hill International Bird Race Opening Ceremony, which will be held on the 25th February 2017.
