WWF-Malaysia believes that effective conservation education programmes, both formal and community based, can have a tremendous impact on the Malaysian society.

Our Overall Vision…

To bring about changes in attitudes and actions in the society to embrace and internalise the concept of Environmental Citizenship through learning and sharing.

Our approach…
We employ a strategy of collaborative partnerships, consultations and participation with government agencies, universities, other environmental NGOs, and specific community groups to be agents of conservation.

Our areas of work…
We work on 2 main areas:

a.  Formal Education System
Projects, programmes, strategies and activities are aimed at key groups related to the  Malaysian formal education structure such as the Ministry of Education (MOE) and its agencies, school communities (school principals, teachers, students, etc) and higher education communities (lecturers, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate students, etc)

b.  Community  Conservation Education
Projects, programmes, strategies and activities are intended for specific communities (coastal, protected areas, highland, etc) directly involved in the project sites of WWF-Malaysia.
