Conservation Education Programme

Thiaga Nadeson
Team Leader
Works closely with the team to implement collaborative efforts with various agencies (government, private and non-government organisations) involved in the National Formal Education System in particular on the infusion of Environmental Education (EE) and Education for Sustainable Development (EfSD).  Actively involved in community conservation education in Fraser's Hill.

Rejani Kunjappan
Education Coordinator
Works with various project teams to strategise and design the best way to deliver conservation messages to their specific audiences.

A. Lasal

Works with various stakeholders such as the Ministry of Education, Department of Wildlife and National Parks (DWNP or PERHILITAN), local universities etc., together with dedicated assistant Anuar, to develop an EE Model for replication in Malaysian schools by 2010.

Anuar bin Jaafar
Programme Trainee
Works closely with the team members to infuse EE into the National Education System.  Liaises with the Ministry of Education and other stakeholders to achieve the project’s objectives.

EE Policy

Nor Shidawati Abdul Rasid
Programme Officer
Liaises with government and non-governmental organisations in efforts to improve EE practice in schools.  Administers and coordinates a nationwide survey which goes out to 13,000 Malaysians.

Community Conservation Education

Works with the local community in Fraser’s Hill (FH) to share environmental messages on the importance of nature and its conservation.  Has also established a good working relationship with the local government agencies and business community in FH.
