Integrating an environmental education policy into the formal education system
For the sake of our children and generations to come, we have to conserve our natural heritage and amazing biodiversity of unique flora and fauna, habitats and natural resources that are finite and depleting. We need to plant seeds of conservation in our future leaders from an early age.WWF-Malaysia initiated a project to assist the Ministry of Education (MOE) develop and integrate an Environmental Education Policy into the National Education Policy by 2010. This national level project involves all Malaysians including key decision makers at MOE.
Collaborative partnerships with government agencies, private organisations and other NGOs ensures that all relevant parties, which can bring about change, are involved to warrant successful achievement of the project’s objectives.
