Share your time and resources while learning more about the exciting world of environmental conservation by volunteering in one of our projects. You never know where it might lead. Our former Executive Director (ED), Dato’ Mike Kavanagh, joined as a volunteer in 1991 and this led to him heading the organisation for 15 years.

From time to time, WWF-Malaysia do take in volunteers as and when there is a request from the projects. Announcements will be made in the Volunteering & Internship section when the need arises. Feel free to check our website for further updates.

Brandon Liu shares his experiences as an intern:

I have spent many years of my life ignoring and neglecting alarming environmental issues, until I was given the life transforming opportunity to complete my internship with WWF-Malaysia; it is one of the most exciting experiences, I had, connecting with people and nature under the Brand Activation Unit. It brings such joy and satisfaction when you are able to contribute to a greater cause on a daily basis. Do give yourself a chance to join WWF-Malaysia and to be a part of the panda family.

Hazel Chee, Volunteer :

In just three months I met people from all walks of life – students, staff and volunteers who were genuinely enthusiastic and passionate about preserving wildlife by working together. I got the chance to observe turtles up close during a visit to Malacca’s Turtle Sanctuary, learning about the conservation efforts carried out to protect these gentle creatures. I even got a glimpse of a batch of turtle eggs that the locals had found during the day! WWF soon became “Working with Fun” to me, it was certainly an experience I shall never forget.
